The summer is creeping up faster than ever as we begin to prepare! It still feels like winter around here with temps sticking around 37 to 40 degrees so its hard to imagine that summer is that close. The air still has a winter smell to it on top of getting a couple snow flurries here and there. The state has been forecasting high producing Salmon runs this year so we are all very excited to see how the fishing will transpire. In the next couple of weeks we have a big announcement so be sure to stay tuned to all of our platforms: YBL Blog, Instagram, and Facebook...it's sure to get everyone excited...STAY TUNED!

AS THE NEW YEAR BEGINS...

The 2019 year is here and has started off with a bang! As most of you know, Nicky and I welcomed Stella Beth Martinez into the world back in October so we have been quite busy with the little one. We are very excited for the upcoming summer to be able to introduce her to the lodge and the unique life we live. With a new baby in the mix, we had to re-configure our marketing plan for the season so Mr. Blackfly himself is officially on the road and headed to Denver, Colorado to kick off our first show of the 2019 year. Be sure to come by the booth (#2411C) and say hello, or better yet, book your adventure to Yes Bay Lodge this summer! Our caretakers Dewey and Jeff (some of you may know him as Lucky) have been busy as ever keeping the bay cleared of ice, cutting & milling wood, and the day to day chores that come with winter time. Not much snow yet for them but the temperatures have been frigid with 18 degrees and dropping...BRRRRRRRR!!! Catches of the Day for September 24



Shane and Gosia caught a beautiful Yelloweye with Captain Old Spice this morning!



Peter and Dick brought back four Silver Salmon with Captain Stan!



Ken and Glenn reeled in two Halibut and a Rockfish with Captain Smiley!





Shane and Gosia ended the day and the season with a bang! they caught two Halibut, a Rockfish, three Black Cod and a 15.3lb White King Salmon with Captain Old Spice! Nice work!

Catches of the Day for September 23



Ken and Glenn caught six Silver Salmon with Captain Smiley this morning!



Nate and Mary brought back four Silver Salmon with Captain Gabby!



Dick and Peter caught seven Silver Salmon with Captain Stan. The largest one weighed 13.2lbs!



Miriam and Leonard reeled in five Silver Salmon and two Rockfish with Captain Snapper!



Cindy and Dan caught ten Silver Salmon with Captain Lucky, the largest of which weighed 13.7lbs! Nice work, guys!

Catches of the Day for September 22





Dale and Mark had a fun day with Captain Gabby! They caught twelve Silver Salmon (the largest one weighed 14.6lbs), two Rockfish and a Black Cod!





Gosia and Shane brought back twelve Silver Salmon (including one that weighed 14.1lbs), two Halibut, two Rockfish and six Black Cod with Captain Old Spice!



Miriam and Leonard caught nine Silver Salmon with Captain Snapper this morning!





Bruce and Kendall reeled in eleven Silver Salmon with Captain Packrat!



Ken and Glenn caught eleven Silver Salmon with Captain Smiley before lunch!





Mary and Nathan caught nine Silver Salmon with Captain Fabio today!



Matt and Mike brought back twelve Silver Salmon and four Rockfish to the dock with Captain Blackfly!



Cindy and Dan caught twelve Silver Salmon and two Rockfish with Captain Lucky!

Leonard and Miriam had a good morning with Captain Snapper, catching their limit of Silver Salmon!



Shane and Gosia caught twelve Silver Salmon and a Halibut with Captain Old Spice this morning!





Mary and Nathan brought back twelve Silver Salmon (the largest one weighed 13lbs!) and a 17lb Halibut with Captain Fabio!





Ken and Glenn went out with Captain Smiley today and caught twelve Silver Salmon and two Yelloweye Rockfish (the larger one weighed 12.5lbs)!





Bruce and Dale caught twelve Silver Salmon, two Rockfish and a Black Cod with Captain Packrat!



Matt and Mike brought back twelve Silver Salmon, a 9.2lb Ling Cod, and a Flounder with Captain Blackfly! Nice work, gentlemen!



Cindy and Dan reeled in twelve Silver Salmon (one weighed 14.5lbs!) and two beautiful Yelloweye Rockfish with Captain Lucky!



Dick and Peter caught twelve Silver Salmon, four Rockfish and three Black Cod with Captain Stan!
